2 Days Warning, loosely comprised of college friends, was asked to form a band to
fill a slot in a "battle of the bands" competition. The year was 1991. The place was
Emporia State University in Emporia, KS. After much trepidation, they quickly put together
a line up comprised of Phi Delta Theta brothers and wrote 3 songs in 2 days time. They
proceeded to take second place in the competition, beating several "professional" bands.
The group disbanded shortly thereafter - all eventually graduated and moved on with their lives.
Three years ago, these brothers decided to get together for a weekend reunion to play
some songs and have a good time. That weekend-long jam session spurred Jeff Rhodes,
guitarist, to take action and put the original line up back together for some more serious
playing. They noticed that once they had combined all of their personal gear, they had a
nice little project studio. They also noticed each had been playing and writing a lot of
music since their college days. They all had completed songs and additional ideas running
around in their heads and needed a way to express “tha' love”.
They got together in August of 2002 and started recording tracks in their piecemeal
project studio. In April of 2004, they released their first CD, entitled "Out Of The Blue".
Currently, 2 Days Warning is writing and rehearsing new material for their second CD. Check out
