Eric J. Tincher is our wordman. With his ever present 3-ring binder, Eric has lyrics and poems and funny jokes to share. A lover of life, Eric has both been burned and has hurt others. Experiences both good and bad and all things that make us real or human excite Eric. A devourer of knowledge, Eric is the eternal optimist - always working to see the glass half-full.

Eric attended Emporia State University and worked hard to live up to his mantra of "I'll try everything .....twice". Finding the social aspect of collegiate life to be too interesting, his grade point average does NOT reflect his intelligence. :-) Eric joined Phi Delta Theta fraternity in the Spring of 1990 because his best friend, Kenny Brock was going to join. Moving in the house that summer, Eric continues to make the most of the fratenity experience. Eric roomed with and became close friends of both Dean Dailey and Jeff Rhodes, and later Matt Brillhart. He was involved with 2DW from the initial conception as da brothers worked to comprise songs for the 1991 Battle of the Bands competition.

Ten years later, Eric came up with the concept of getting everyone back together after witnessing another thrilling episode of VH1's Behind the Music. Enlisting the aid of Dean and Jeff, everyone (sans Kenny) got together at Dean's place for a weekend of forgetful music but good times. This weekend escapade sparked in Jeff a desire to restart the band, and Eric has been an integral part of the band ever since, writing or co-writing the lyrics to five songs and singing lead vocals on seven songs from the first CD "Out of the Blue"
